Designed to support a rapidly scaling organization, Propeller’s headquarters establishes a workplace model that DBW has implemented across multiple North American locations. The environment balances professionalism with approachability, creating a clear framework for how teams work, connect, and perform.

Planned around a hybrid working model, the workplace offers flexibility and choice throughout. Open, light-filled areas encourage collaboration, while dedicated focus rooms support concentrated work and virtual meetings. Natural wood finishes paired with industrial accents create a warm, contemporary atmosphere that supports both creativity and focus.

Unique to the headquarters, a flexible all-hands space anchors the workplace, accommodating company-wide meetings, presentations, and informal gatherings. Located on the top floor, the space includes a presentation stage, integrated kitchen, and access to a landscaped balcony, reinforcing connection and adaptability as Propeller continues to grow.

Professional & Welcoming

Propeller wanted a professional yet welcoming office for their fast-growing company's headquarters in Portland, that could also guide workspace design standards for their offices across the country.

The DBW team worked with Propeller's leadership to develop a material palette to inspire the design of their new space in Portland's Field Office. Their commitment to a hybrid work culture drove the floor plan.

With high ceilings and full-height windows to bring natural light into every corner, the result is an airy open office with lots of focus rooms to duck into for Zoom calls; but the crown jewel is the All Hands space with vast views of the city, landscaped balcony, presentation stage, and kitchen that functions as the hearth of the office.
