Propeller Consulting

Propeller, a rapidly growing company based in Portland, recently tasked a DESIGN+BUILD team with creating a new headquarters that would be professional, welcoming, and serve as a model for their other offices across the country. The team collaborated with Propeller's leadership to develop a comprehensive plan that would inspire the design of the new space and meet the unique needs of the company.

The DESIGN+BUILD team focused on creating a material palette and floor plan that would accommodate Propeller's hybrid work culture. They carefully selected natural wood finishes and industrial accents to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages creativity and collaboration. Additionally, the open and airy office design features high ceilings and full-height windows that flood the space with natural light. The team also included a series of focus rooms that provide private spaces for Zoom calls and other focused work.

One of the highlights of Propeller's new headquarters is the all-hands space on the top floor of the Field Office building. This versatile space features stunning views of the city, a landscaped balcony, a presentation stage, and a fully equipped kitchen that serves as the heart of the office. The space was designed to be flexible enough to accommodate a wide range of events and activities, from company-wide meetings to social gatherings and everything in between.
